@SJKSalisbury I dunno. Inventing lyrics for videogame music, mostly. Sometimes related to the game, sometimes completely unrelated and more to do with what I'm doing at the time. Sometimes I go full One Song To The Tune of Another (E.G.G.M.A.N. fits surprisingly well to Buoy Base Galaxy).

@Secret_Doves I know right, I thoroughly enjoyed GCSE English Literature. Admittedly I had two really compelling set texts in Animal Farm and An Inspector Calls. Also kind of a shame that only the top set got to do Eng Lit.

@palepinkfloyd @NinjaKouga345 @LunalaFan777 One or two other minor SwSh issues: Rose's whole thing was so daft. I actually prefer Lysandre's cookie-cutter Bond villain plan. And while I get the showmanship around Leon, having everyone talk about his unbeatable Charizard while I'm going "4x weak to Rock" was... very odd.

@palepinkfloyd @NinjaKouga345 @LunalaFan777 SwSh have some good points, to be fair. As a Brit I feel like they nailed a lot of city and town design (even if they still had a weirdly empty vibe). There were, as always, plenty of fun new 'mons. Marnie was a fun character even as I was relentlessly crushing her team.

@KNXCKLE @whyyousomadhaha @NinjaKouga345 @Frost_Cyclone @LunalaFan777 Hmm, you bring up a good point. Honestly I haven't touched the DLC yet because Kieran and Carmine didn't look anywhere near as fun as Nemona, Arven and Penny were, but that's an angle I hadn't thought about much.

@KNXCKLE @whyyousomadhaha @NinjaKouga345 @Frost_Cyclone @LunalaFan777 I would say the odd-numbered gens from 5 onwards all have pretty great characters and stories. I do love SV for how willing it is to be meta with some of its characters, but in a very "let's follow through on this seriously" way. That's something that always gets me in games.

@Csmcapthy30 @Mattsterical @LunalaFan777 I mean maybe it says more about me than the games, but I've loved plenty of games with garbage engines. If I can find room in my heart for Sonic Adventure DX and Sid Meier's Civ 5 and 6, I can easily find it for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
