Christa Pike tortured and murdered 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville in 1995. She kept a piece of that girl's skull.

Tennessee finally set the lethal injection for this morning. The governor said no to clemency. The Supreme Court said no to a stay. Then a split federal panel of Democrat-appointed judges hit pause hours before justice was supposed to land.

Colleen has been dead for 31 years. The system still bends over backward for the woman who killed her. Remember the victim.
