Tesla launched the Cybercab in Austin today.

Two seats. No steering wheel, no pedals, no side mirrors, no rear window. Nothing inside for a human to hold.

48 kWh battery, around 470 km of range, 165 Wh per mile the most efficient production EV ever built. A Model Y needs 250-280. 1,412 kg, 219 hp, single front motor. For scale: a Mahindra BE 6 carries a 79 kWh pack, 65% more battery than this, and returns 449 km.

The parts most people miss:

No door handles. The butterfly doors open on their own when your ride pulls up.

The panels are not painted. Colour is baked into the polyurethane, so a scratch never sees a paint shop. Its Fleet thinking, not showroom thinking.

It charges by parking over a pad. No cable, no port, no attendant.

Your car runs 12,000 km a year and sits idle 95% of the time. This one is built to never stop.

For us in India, this will be a tourist attraction. Something you do in a US trip and post a video of. I wish to see it in India but not for decades I believe.

🔥 Tesla introduces “Automatic Collision Evasion,” a feature that can activate FSD (Supervised) to avoid a crash while driving manually!

Automatic Collision Evasion has two triggers:

1️⃣ Imminent frontal collision
If braking alone can’t avoid an imminent collision, FSD can automatically engage and perform an evasive maneuver on controlled-access highways below 85 mph (137 km/h).

2️⃣ Driver is no longer in control
If Tesla detects that the driver is inattentive, has lost control, or FSD was unintentionally disengaged, it can automatically take control at 22.5–85 mph (36–137 km/h).

The feature only works if FSD (Supervised) is purchased and enabled in the vehicle settings.

SpaceX doesn't get subsidies!

A subsidy is money you get for existing. A contract is money you get for a cheaper seat that actually flies.

NASA’s 2014 crew awards started at about $4.2B for Boeing and $2.6B for SpaceX.

SpaceX then flew the station rotations. Boeing flew one crew of two, and Dragon had to bring them home.

By mid-2026 the Boeing award had been cut toward four post-cert flights. SpaceX’s award grew because NASA bought more flights that already work.

The clip is the argument. The ledger is the proof. SpaceX did not get a gift.

SpaceX won the work the other contractor could not finish.
