@MatthewTorbitt The powers that be do not have the funding for 24/7 minute to minute monitoring of tags be them GPS or the box standard. They check their systems 2-3 days unless it’s picked up sooner! 9/10 offenders are recalled due to other issues before violating tag is known

@LBC It is not just in Middlesbrough though! The laws are not designed to fit certain areas of the UK. It is there for all. Every era has brought a different ‘crutch’ that is used in court. It’s getting worse.

@LBC In almost 5yrs of campaigning Road Safety only one case upto now had a big media response and that was Frankie Hough case in 2023, the driver was of colour! The two recent cases Ireland and Middlesbrough have completely swamped the media response in comparison

@SharronHuddles2 Headlight glare is a huge issue with many vehicles using LED’s. It is something that HGV drivers have raised concern about. On streets or motorways with dimmed streetlights or no lights at all this is a problem for motorists.

@jayjones26 @JeremyVineOn5 You couldn’t walk 10 foot in my shoes. What I saw that fateful night would haunt you. It is exactly THAT reason why I have campaigned not just regionally but nationally in Road Safety. If my words have changed one teen then I will take that.

A car full of teens driving around in stolen cars/cars at night on cloned plates would stick out like a sore thumb. They would be more visible.

@LBC Sadly many do not know the horrors, they scroll social media, listen to news, and do not take in the fact that you only get so many chances. When loved ones get a knock on the door to say their son/daughter has been killed it’s all too late then.

The numbers are staggering relating to cloned number plates. 36,794 fines cancelled across London alone due to proven cloning. 16,264 PCN’s to 6,761 cloned plates. Yet only 11,394 motorists reported cloned plates to DVLA @DVLAgovuk @LBC @BBCNews @Brakecharity

@MikeDiplockre Nothing to do with TikTok! This is what is happening in these communities. Use of stolen cars to use in criminality. People in these communities will say it’s happening all the time! Same faces, etc. police patrolling playing cat and mouse with them
