@messedupfoods Employers should pay their staff a living wage.
If you Google “gratuity” it clearly says “a voluntary financial reward for good service” and “a gift of money provided freely” it doesn’t say “obligated amount due even if service is mediocre at best”
@SeanM1997 Sad to say but as a travel agent they are a super unreliable option. All the big noise about new routes and so many get canned before launch or very soon after
@SeanM1997 Try and ignore it. As a travel agent I find your posts really useful and accurate and in most cases earlier than things are either in the travel press or GDS so I appreciate it. Thank you
@JaneGaddie@SimonCalder My advice as a travel professional would be to rely on what the FCDO says.
Presently there is no advice not to travel so if you cancel your plans it would be considered disinclination to travel and you would not be entitled for refunds. Your travel agent will advise you
Thanks to the amazing WiFi on @British_Airways I can recognise the amazing service from Neil and his team on BA256 DEL-LHR while flying over the Himalayas eating scallops. Such a fab experience today. Thank you all
@grantshapps@TheSun@AArmstrong_says Oh Grant. I’m a self employed travel agent. A sole trader. You absolutely shafted people like me during Covid. You’ve a short memory
@grantshapps There were lots of brilliant travel businesses with bright futures and deserving owners and employees. What did you do for them? #loathesome
