A Prayer for Protection & Safety

Heavenly Father,

I come to You quietly, settling into the awareness of Your presence all around me. Before I speak another word, I simply rest in the truth that You are here and where You are, I am safe.

In a world that can feel uncertain and unpredictable, you are my constant. My refuge. The one place where I can exhale fully and release the guardedness that the day so often requires of me. I do not need to be afraid, for You go before me, You walk beside me, and You cover all that is behind me. There is no gap in Your protection.

I bring before You now those I love, placing them gently into Your hands, one by one. Watch over them today, Lord. In their going out and their coming in, be their shield. In the moments they are unaware of what surrounds them, be their unseen guardian. I trust them to You, for Your care for them surpasses even my own.

Protect my mind as well from the fears that creep in quietly, from the worries that multiply in the silence, from every thought that seeks to convince me that I am alone or exposed. Remind me, gently and repeatedly, that I am covered by Your grace.

Let me move through this day with a calm and settled heart, knowing that nothing can touch me that has not first passed through Your hands.

I am safe in You. I always have been.
