It was a deeply disgraceful moment when I received my SSCE results and realizing I had failed.

This is because I was the only person from my village attending secondary school at the time, and the expectations were even higher because I had been the best student in the village when we wrote the BECE, with an aggregate of 22.

He became a shoe-shine boy. He sold second-hand clothes in Kumasi. He worked as a shop attendant at Kantamanto.

Today, he is a tutor at Exeter College, University of Oxford.
