ಬಿಡದಿಯ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಗುಣ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಬೆಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯಬಹುದು (multi cropping). ಬಿಡದಿಯಿಂದ ನಿತ್ಯ 6 ಲಕ್ಷ ಲೀಟರ್ ಹಾಲು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. 2 ಲಕ್ಷ ತೆಂಗಿನ ಮರಗಳಿವೆ. ಬಿಡದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ರೈತರೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ನಾವು ಟೌನ್ ಶಿಪ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂಬ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಹುರುಳಿಲ್ಲ.

ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಭೂಮಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಕೈ ವಶವಾಗಲು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೋರಾಟ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತ. ಬಿಡದಿಯ ರೈತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಇದ್ದೇನೆ.
