ಭಾರತೀಯ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಬಾಂಗ್ಲಾದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅಪಾಯ ನಾಳೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೇ ಬರಲಿದೆ.

ಬಾಂಗ್ಲಾದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ “ದೀಪು ಚಂದ್ರ ದಾಸ್” ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದು ಎಂಬ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿಕ್ ಮೂಲಭೂತವಾದಿಗಳು ಕ್ರೂರವಾಗಿ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಆತಂಕಕಾರಿ ಘಟನೆ. ಇದು ಅನ್ಯ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ��ಾಶ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ರಿಲಿಜನ್ನಿನ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮ.

“ಕುರಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಪೈಗಂಬರ್” ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ, ಏನು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು, ಕುಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥಿಸುವುದು ಮಾನವತೆಗೆ ಅಂಟಿದ ಕಳಂಕ. ತಮಗಾಗದವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ರೂರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗುಂಪಿನವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚೋದಿಸುವ ತಂತ್ರ ಇದು. ಇಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯ��, ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಕಾನೂನು ಎಂಬ ಅಂಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

ಈ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯ ಹೊಸದಲ್ಲ. ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಪುಟಗಳನ್ನ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ, ಏಳನೇ ಶತಮಾನದಿಂದಲೇ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಮತಾಂಧ ಹಿಂಸೆ ವಿವಿಧ ರೂಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ದೇಶಗಳು ಬದಲಾಗಿವೆ, ಕಾಲಮಾನ ಬದಲಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಇತರರ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ದ್ವೇಷ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ರಿಲಿಜನ್ನಿನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಥಿಸುವ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನ, ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ, ಇದೀಗ ಬಾಂಗ್ಲಾದೇಶ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಗಡಿ ದಾಟಿ ಬಂದೀತು!

ಮತಾಂಧತೆ ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಒಂದು ಭೂಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ತನ್ನ ಕಬಂಧ ಬಾಹುಗಳನ್ನು ��ಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಈ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ವಿದೇಶಾಂಗ ನೀತಿಯ ವಿಷಯ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಇದು ರಾಷ್ಟೀಯ ಭದ್ರತೆ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ತಲೆಮಾರಿನ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ.

ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ, ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಮಾಜವೂ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಅಂದರೆ ಭಯ, ಆತಂಕ, ದ್ವೇಷ ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರದ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ವಾಸ್ತವವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಸಂಘಟಿತವಾಗಿ, ಹಿಂದೂ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಮಾಜ ಇನ್ನೂ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ ಎಂದು ಬಡಿದಾಡದೆ, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇದೆ. ಇದು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಲಾಭ–ನಷ್ಟಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಉಳಿಯಬೇಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ಮತಾಂಧ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾಜ ಶರಣಾಗಬೇಕೆ ಎಂಬ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ. ಈಗಲಾದರೂ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮತಾಂಧರ ��್ಟ್ರೀಟ್ ಪವರ್’ಗೆ ಸಂವಿಧಾನ, ಕಾನೂನು ಸೋಲುವ ಕಾಲ ದೂರವಿಲ್ಲ.

It’s sad but true - whenever there is an issue affecting Hindus, the silence from certain groups is deafening.

While everyone is quick to speak up for other causes, why do they suddenly lose their voice when it comes to the safety of Hindus in places like Bangladesh?

It feels like there are very few people left who are willing to stand up and speak the truth for our community.

Arnab makes a strong point: our government should openly welcome Hindus facing persecution in Bangladesh and take a firm stand against illegal infiltrators.

We need to stop being quiet and start demanding justice for everyone, without any selective bias.
