Additionally attached screenshot of SIA's overriding cancellation notice taken from https://t.co/6hlD8NyHmp on 17th March, which prompted the on-line cancellation, as just couldn't get through to speak to reservation dept for 2 weeks, day or night!
@SingaporeAir The resv guy first suggested change to an open ticket. Couldn't follow-up for weeks as SIA wouldn't answer the phones, thus cancelled it on-line well in adv. But neither re-issued open ticket nor refunded value. Now SIA claims no refund is due. They're silent on the open ticket.
@SingaporeAir My family member met all criteria, responded per yr website directives, wrote emails to your Customer Support, but was still penalised.
Can you provide the email of yr Country Head in Australia? Will try writing to him. (knew the previous helpful bloke, but he got transferred).
