@Dpilot03@ScottApogee@amelia_tweetz@Chase This is called “de-banking.” Ivermectin-lovers claim it’s politically motivated & bankers are doing it to conservatives. That’s a crock: it’s happened to customers of every political stripe, no pattern at all.
My response was to start an alternate account at a smaller bank.
@Dpilot03@ScottApogee@amelia_tweetz@Chase (2/2) The bank always returns all customer’s funds with no charges, BUT closes all accounts & won’t resume any relationship. And release can take weeks or even months. And zero compensation if you got evicted or business seized for non-payment while bank froze your $$.
@Dpilot03@ScottApogee@amelia_tweetz@Chase (1/2) All the big banks have done that to good solid customers in the past few years. No explanation or warning other than the 3-word phrase, “flagged for security”; just everything suddenly frozen (checking/savings/brokerage funds; credit cards; business accounts)….
@thechessdungeon Offhand it seems Black should win by simply turning his extra pawn into a passer. Preferably on the h-file if possible, for maximum distance. Then while white K is chasing down the passer, black K invades and gobbles white Q-side.

“I would have liked to see some solid reporting about high-level tournament invitations and other chess business opportunities that he says were yanked from him through Carlsen’s boycott and any related blacklists it may have spawned.”
@HansMokeNiemann Niemann must be inwardly grateful for Levy’s remark. Because the #1 takeaway from the post is Levy confirming that the “scandal” made Niemann permanently un-invitable. Which Hans always said, but had trouble proving. Now here’s public confirmation, from someone not Hans’s friend.
@ThatClaireKyleG Yeah, you can look forward to a long span. (But, most sources do say the sexes differ in that area. Especially post-menopause. Male desire tails off… but female desire drops palpable more, and faster. But those are just averages; your mileage may vary.
@ThatClaireKyleG Shouldn’t be that hard to guess why. My confession (and assuring her I was starting therapy) had the effect of a wake-up call for her. But the streak didn’t last; by a month later our bedroom had fallen back to “sleep.” And I, being in therapy, lacked the option of repeating.
@KhanSaba1278 Depends which country you’re in. I know you’re not in the US, where no one would ever be anywhere near clueless enough to ask if 8% is an adequate tip (unless the server brought everything an hour later than expected, and spilled an entire dish or drink in a guest’s lap, to boot)
