For almost two years, I genuinely valued working with https://t.co/Qjw67uw6o4 being a lifetime diamond member. Communication was clear, commitments were kept, and it felt like a real partnership in growing chess. But over the past several months, my experience has been the opposite. Follow-ups go unanswered, commitments require multiple reminders, and communication feels like an afterthought. That is incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to serve and grow a community. From where I stand, it seems like smaller communities simply don’t get the attention they used to, despite being active and helping grow the game. I won’t publish private emails just to create noise, but I do stand by my experience and will share facts if my account is questioned. For now, I’ll move forward and focus on partners who actually value communication and accountability. I’m looking forward to new opportunities, including working with @TakeTakeTakeApp . Chess is bigger than any single platform. Communities deserve better.

The harsh reality is that @chesscom’s biggest asset is its user base.

Even after launch of FIDE’s partnered @theworldchess platform or @HansMokeNiemann’s EndgameAI or @MagnusCarlsen owned TakeTakeTake, moving users away is extremely difficult. People are already invested in their games, ratings, history, connections, and the ecosystem.

No matter how good a new platform is, replacing chesscom won’t be easy.

And @DanielRensch knows it, which is probably why his team keep expanding the paywall and putting more features behind it.
