Legos space challenge. ☀️ 🌙 Determine the average number of daylight and darkness hours in a particular month. Use the hours of darkness to program a “lamp” to turn on during the night at a “campsite”. @PaxtonKeeLib
Missouri kids can get a free book from Dolly Parton's #ImaginationLibrary every month.
Starting today, the program that mails out free books each month will be available to Missourians ages 0-5.

Big thanks to @AGCofMO for the construction story time today! Our kindergarten students had a blast. Angie from @MoDOT and Angie from @ESS_emerysapp were fantastic readers. Our students are so excited to reread the books that were donated to their classrooms!
And of course we couldn’t have had this much fun without a great team. Shout out to our Paxton counselors @SSadewhite and @KEaglePK along with Mr. Watson, our music teacher, for being surprise guests!
It’s #NationalLibraryWeek and we thought we’d enlist our 1st graders to tell our library story through a stuffed animal sleepover. Students reflected on the year and chose the library learning activities they wanted their stuffies to experience. Reading, makerspace…
inquiry stations, @pltworg modules, robotics, and more. We shared photos of the “sleepover” with the teachers and look forward to reading any stories students write about the library!
Students wrote care instructions for their stuffies, including tips like: “Needs 3 kisses at night. Not 2, and not 4. Just three.” And, “She is a sting ray so she likes water but she is not waterproof so do not get her wet!” We followed directions when possible!
And so it begins! Stuffed animals are loaded on the bus for the 1st grade stuffie sleepover. There will be lots of pictures to write about tomorrow showing all the fun these beloved stuffies will have!
