Public schools cite a lack of funds for their poor condition, yet more than ₹8,450 crore remains unused.

If it is the people’s money, why can’t it be used to build and repair schools?

Lack of funds was never the problem. Lack of intent is.

A student says, "Our demand for a CBI investigation remains unfulfilled. Our hunger strike will not end until the CBI inquiry takes place. It is a matter of great happiness that the JSSC-CGL exam has been cancelled. We will call off the agitation only after the CBI inquiry is conducted, not before."

VIDEO | CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka says, "I just came to know that CBI has filed a charge sheet in the NEET 2026 case which involves a lot of NTA officers... We demand that the NTA be dissolved and it be converted into a national technical testing commission which has permanent staff, which has proper auditing of each of the exam it conducts. We also demand that not just 2026 but all the paper leaks that have happened in this country in last few years be investigated thoroughly and all the accused be brought to justice which includes NEET 2024 and NEET 2025. It is imperative that the government takes steps to solve these structural issues that are plaguing the systems of this country not just NTA but the entire exam system which includes the exam infrastructure which includes the vendors have to be audited properly and it has to be made sure that the country doesn't see any more paper leaks."
