Today a creator has to guess one basket the whole holder base will accept, and on most launches that guess is the first thing people argue about.

Here there is nothing to guess. You hold the token because you like the token; what it pays you out in is your own business.

Every Payd launch today pays its holders the same thing: a basket of tokenised equities the creator picked, up to 8 lines, identical for everybody.

The next mode drops that. Each holder declares what they want to be paid in — any equity Payd lists — and is paid in theirs.

The trick is that the vault stops buying baskets at all. It funds one line, USDG, and your stocks are bought in the delivery itself — one swap shared by every holder in that batch who wants the same one.

No 8-slot cap, no reweighting every 30 minutes, and no new key: the keeper names the stock and the batch, your weights are read on-chain from your own row. A hostile plan costs gas, never your choice.

Basically, the mode will have a default basket: either Payd's current one or another one chosen through the community vote I've planned. Then, if you want, you can customize your basket. But I can't have both vaults simultaneously receiving fees. I could think about an adapter, but that would unnecessarily complicate things.

I think the $PAYD vault will be migrated to portfolio mode once everything is operational and if you're okay with that, because $PAYD and the platform also belong to you.

@TheGermanBecker This will be done in several stages: first, deploy the portfolio mode, then enableFactory part (48-hour timelock), then create the new vault for $PAYD, and finally the migration (48-hour timelock). Any stage can be canceled during the timelock period.
