@CAgovernor 5,000 SpaceX employees just became millionaires. Around 400 of them now hold stakes worth more than $100 million.
Space X moved their headquarters from CA to Texas in 2024.
Think how much tax revenue California just lost?
So is the answer to continue to tax the rich?
@micheal_ws18 No sir. Currently reading “ultra processed people” and it answers all those questions. A calorie from a steak vs a doughnut is drastically different in how your body treats it. Just like how your car would treat a gallon of gasoline vs a gallon of lemonade
"Act As If."
This saying encourages you to mentally position yourself in a way that benefits you, especially in situations where you may feel uncomfortable or out of place.
The effectiveness of this approach is undeniable. The key difference between those who exude unwavering confidence and those who struggle with insecurity often lies in their mental state. In moments when you need a boost of conviction, remember to "act as if."
- Act as if you've been there before.
- Act as if you are a leader.
- Act as if your products and services are superior.
- Act as if nobody can compete with you.
- Act as if you provide more value than anyone else could.
In many instances, this isn't merely an act; it's about shedding your self-doubt and embracing your potential.
This hit home for me when I read Rick Rubin's book "The Creative Act: A Way of Being."
In the context of facing difficult or unexpected times in life, try taking a step back like a storyteller:
“I wasn’t expecting that plot twist. I wonder what’s going to happen to our hero next.”
There is always a next scene, a new beginning, a challenge to overcome. It's part of your story, and this adversary may lead to incredible opportunities or great fulfillment.
The hard times were the necessary setup for these new possibilities to come into being.

ALL MEN should normalize:

Eye contact
Extreme Confidence
Leadership
Unwavering Optimism
Ample Sleep
No alcohol
When you are young and you start making extra money, get rid of it as quickly as possible.
I don’t mean waste it, I mean invest it in a vehicle you can’t easily touch (I prefer real estate).
Then, get back to work.
Force yourself to get back to work and keep building while you are young, motivated, and have the energy.
Keep working like you’re broke and have no other option.
Your 65 year old self will thank you. So will your kids.
I remember when you shut down all the small businesses and bars and restaurants in Illinois and then mandated vaccines in order for people to start going back to them. And while they were struggling, you forced them to invest thousands of dollars in plexiglass screens and outdoor tents to remain open at just a small percentage of their total capacity, sending city workers around to fine them if their tables were too close together or they didn’t follow any of your strict orders. But yeah, no kings.
@DhroovP@JBPritzker So I run a financial services company. If you embezzled money from your last employer, I’d have no idea because of this law. And I should hire you?
I once had multiple employees that I was paying six figure salaries to while I was barely breaking 30k. Best investment I ever made, but requires serious delayed gratification.
@nichpic@sweatystartup I hired for a job oversees for video editing which gave me a bigger budget and allowed me to hire a much better US based employee for filming and videography that I could pay a higher wage to. I love America 🇺🇸
What if there was a requirement for every member of the executive branch and congress to meet certain physical fitness criteria ex bench press a certain amount, number of pull ups, 50 yard dash time. If they can’t meet these standards they aren’t physically capable to meet the demands of leadership at that level. Physical and mental health go hand in hand.
@hrJonGant@davidmarcus For some, yes that’s true. For me personally it’s completely upped my motivation, seeing all the insane wealth near the coast in Southern California.
I don’t think many people are gonna give Mark Wahlberg props for being a solid rapper back in the 90s, or for Donnie Wahlberg’s ability to compose some sick beats
