110 years ago today, more than 800 Newfoundlanders went into battle at Beaumont-Hamel. More than 700 were killed, wounded, or went missing in a single day. Despite their horrific losses, the Newfoundland Regiment fought in World War I until 1918.
Today, as we celebrate the greatest country on Earth, we remember all those who served and sacrificed so that we could live in freedom and peace.
Canada now has new bail & sentencing laws. Stricter bail for repeat & violent offenders. Tougher sentences for serious crimes. Stronger tools for police & courts.
Thanks to everyone who helped get this done, especially the police officers who keep our communities safe everyday.

Attention - those looking for #Volunteer experience, especially those interested in a career in #LawEnforcement or #EmergencyServices - Crime Stoppers is ALWAYS looking. I personally know three people who were recently hired, the knowledge and experienced gained volunteering with Crime Stoppers certainly helped them achieve their goals.
In my newest YouTube video, I sat down with Crime Stoppers ED Colin Jessome and discussed the specifics of how it works, and how you can get involved.
