Kids don’t want to be bad; they want to have their needs met. It’s good when we can focus on understanding the students and meeting their needs... rather than just reacting to the “bad behavior.”
This year I am introducing a “Camel Care Closet!” I am working on supplying it with students basic needs. Please take a minute and check out the items I’m still needing. https://t.co/Fwx1Eg480C. Please RETWEET!
“If you can’t relate nothing else really matters!” Love this! So much about our life is about being personable and empathetic- even for our adult relationships this is golden!! 🙌🏼
Using fear to stop bad behavior is just a bandaid, if you truly want to change behavior you must focus on the underlying challenges that’s causing the student to act out. #2019MAENCONF
