@SandyofSuffolk When I was in retail many moons ago, the Petite range was for 5ft 4in and under, meaning the main range was for over that. As someone who is 5ft 8in, everything is too short for me, apart from good old M&S who do a variety of lengths

@PaulDunnSims @implausibleblog @andyburnham Our agency apparently use to pay block hours but then changed to just paying per call, and not for the travel time or wasted time between calls. They get mileage but they’re out of pocket if they use their own vehicles

@MJKM @incrediblyEU @implausibleblog @andyburnham Albeit, if it’s a new care package then yes you only get the times that are available on the rota, but once you’re a fully-fledged customer you have more say in timings that work for you.

I’ve seen the rotas and there are specific times for everyone and it’s written intoT&Cs about timeliness. Maybe it’s different in different councils. Would be stressful living without a rota

We have a 94yo neighbour with Parkinson’s whose carers put her to bed at 7.30 even though her call time is 9pm, but she has no one to advocate for her. She’s a nervous wreck not knowing what time carers will let themselves in. It’s not fair on anyone

@MJKM @incrediblyEU @implausibleblog @andyburnham Not in our case, we have specific times and they’re not meant to come 15 minutes before or after that time. We’re part-funded. Our carers work to a rota regardless of customer payment type, everyone is the same.

@incrediblyEU @implausibleblog @andyburnham Sadly this is because the customer demands a specific rota time (as we do) but the carer won’t get paid for that time sitting around. It’s the industry to blame not the customers. Terribly unfair

@MiddleEastEye What I hear from her is that the scripture may say one thing but huge swathes of Muslim countries across the world interpret it differently, and continue with bigoted hatred of gays, women and freedom of speech 🤔 (which is actually incredibly Far-Right)!
