Focus on the three EMA lines in the chart - 20 EMA (green), 50 EMA (red), and 200 EMA (purple). 👇🏻

About a month ago, I explained this same EMA structure on the 5-minute and 1-hour charts. At that time, I also mentioned that Nifty was forming the exact same pattern on the daily timeframe, and this setup works nearly 80% of the time.

The sequence is usually very simple:

1. The market first reclaims the 20 EMA and 50 EMA.
2. It then rallies to test the 200 EMA.
3. After touching the 200 EMA, it normally takes a healthy pullback of around 30–50% of the previous upmove.
4. Once that correction is complete, the market breaks above the 200 EMA and resumes the larger uptrend.

Right now, we are in Stage 3. As you can see, Nifty has already reclaimed the 20 EMA and 50 EMA and is now moving towards the 200 EMA (purple line). My expectation is that after testing the 200 EMA, the market will either pause or witness a healthy correction before attempting a fresh breakout.

This EMA structure has been the foundation of our market view and trade planning over the last one to two months. I've demonstrated it on the 5-minute, 1-hour, and now the daily chart.

Video footage purportedly released by the terror outfit allegedly based in Pakistan showing the killing of ASI Joga Singh is a very dangerous development. This is the second such incident, as earlier, two police officers deployed in the second line of defence were murdered. This warrants serious review. If true, then the same individual on the other side of the border is the perpetrator. The border area of Punjab has always been prone to such terror acts. It is not just a border-crossing problem; it involves the hiring of vulnerable persons as killers, creating a very dangerous situation. It is not easy to monitor all the local young boys and men of the border districts to identify vulnerabilities. The state government and the MHA GOI will need to collaborate. Digital, technical, and human intelligence, as well as community sensitisation, are very important under such circumstances. Perhaps, ground policing needs to be revived. The essential structural requirement is the effective setup of the beat and jail system covering all villages and wards in the seven border districts adjoining Pakistan. With available technical and app-based solutions, this time-tested beat system pyramid can become highly effective in identifying vulnerable individuals. I am confident the state police think tank, headed by the state DGP, will further improve upon it, although Brasstacks may remain unchanged—manpower strengthening. And sensitisation is also important. At the same time, aggressive handling across the border may also be employed. Ultimately, the same vulnerabilities exist in western Punjab as well.
