At the Priests’ Jubilee of Hope celebration in Jalingo, Fr. Atta Barkindo, representing The Kukah Centre, delivered a thought-provoking lecture on Hope and the Future of the Catholic Church.
Drawing from history, he reminded the clergy and faithful that while the Church has faced challenges, crises, and declining vocations in some regions, its hope remains firmly rooted in God’s promises and Christ’s resurrection. He highlighted how the Church continues to grow, especially in Africa, while sustaining its global mission through education, healthcare, and charity.
His lecture called on the Church to embrace the future with courage, faith, and an unwavering commitment to hope.
