The unsightly creature interviewed here is not a community activist, witness, or a victim of last night's mass shooting in Washington Park.
She is the 20th Ward alderman, Jeanette Taylor.
15 people were shot, one fatally.
She says the mass shooting is "disheartening."
This evokes memories of Alderman Maria Hadden characterizing Sheridan Gorman's murder as "wrong place, wrong time."
This is why Chicago is sliding into oblivion.
UPDATE: Last night’s shoot-out at a picnic inside Washington Park is now tied for the worst shooting of the year in Chicago.
1 dead, 13 more injured.

Beach Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida, is a six-lane thoroughfare that produces a steady stream of mostly non-White pedestrian deaths.
Today, a contractor noticed that young black children were crossing it in an unsafe manner and tried to help. Let’s see how that turned out. 🍿
🇬🇧 Police made 169 arrests at London’s Notting Hill Carnival by Sunday evening, including 29 using live facial recognition.

NASSCOM said the quiet part out loud. When faced with higher costs and restrictions on H-1B visas, the concern wasn't that jobs would go unfilled because America lacked skilled workers.
It was that companies like Infosys would have to “hire many more local Americans, which would be expensive.”
Read that again. Americans weren't described as unavailable. Americans were described as the more expensive alternative.
And they acknowledged the other half of the problem.. companies with a “strong local American presence” would have a competitive advantage if visa-dependent companies lost easy access to that labor.
That tells Americans exactly what this business model does. Use visa labor to lower costs. Compete against companies that hire more Americans. Win their contracts. And now those American-employing companies have fewer jobs to offer too.
The American worker loses twice.
So why are we still debating what these visa programs are being used for? Their statements tell us the incentive. The immigration filings show us the scale. The layoffs show us who pays the price.
How much more evidence does Congress need before it answers why U.S. immigration policy gives companies a competitive advantage for hiring visa workers instead of Americans?

🚨🇩🇪 Merz THREATENS to BLOCK AfD VICTORY in Saxony-Anhalt on September 6.
"We will do everything to steer the election in the sense of the government."
Democracy German-style.
This German tourist in Mallorca, Spain asked the driver of the horse carriage if she could give the horses some water.
He got aggressive with her & started making inappropriate offensive comments about her appearance, he touches her cheek & throws water at her.
He accuses her of being a Nazi.
She remained composed & never made any threats.
His behavior was sick & you can see his horses are malnourished.
I hope he’s identified & the horses go to a sanctuary.
Can’t believe nobody helped her.

ISIS destroyed Ancient Nimrud.
What these reports miss is ISIS didn’t just erase archeology.
They forced hundreds of thousands of Assyrians to leave Nineveh.
Thousands of years of continuity, cuneiform to Aramaic.
“Now they are gone.”
If you are an Irish-American who has always dreamed about visiting the homeland, I suggest you do it very soon, because if you leave it for much longer, your tour guide for the Cliffs of Moher and other sights will be a 50-year-old Indian man.
Watching all of this immigration/H1B discourse, it’s astonishing how many foreigners feel entitled to participate in the American market at the expense of Americans, and how many recent immigrants feel entitled to call the shots. I would never feel that way about another country.
There are too many colleges and universities, too many professors and too many students, way too many administrators - and the entire thing costs too much and leads to young people and their patents mired in debt. Good that the bubble pops.
🚨BREAKING: Los Angeles County redirected $5 million from a wildfire housing fund to rent checks for households “impacted” by ICE — and they don’t check immigration status.
The program can pay up to $15,000 per rental unit.
County paperwork created “Category 3”: tenants facing hardship from “federal actions targeting immigrant communities.” Supervisors then moved wildfire and Affordable Housing Trust money into that bucket.
The original pot was sold as help for Eaton and Palisades fire tenants and landlords. Half of a $10 million fire housing allocation went the other way. More trust-fund dollars followed unless fire victims still had unpaid needs.
Meanwhile, thousands of fire families are still waiting to go home.
Gynecologist Ursula von der Leyen has devised a brilliant scheme: to take money from European bank deposits and "direct it into the EU economy."
"Europe has savings. Unfortunately, these savings are idle. Today, 10 trillion euros in household savings are sitting in bank deposits. And a significant portion of European savings are invested outside our continent. Europe needs to direct these savings to serve its own businesses. We have already put forward proposals. Together, they could unlock up to 470 billion euros in additional investment."
In her opinion, citizens' savings should "work more actively for the European economy."
USC is 21% White (undergraduate population)…
26% International students and 20% Asian.
Los Angeles is no longer an American city and the school has a nearly 80% non-White population that is either spying for China or playing cricket.

Trump announces a nuclear powered interplanetary spacecraft to go to Mars in 2028, and future plans for a star fleet.
How much will this cost?
How will this reduce the cost of health care, groceries, and housing here on Earth?

After renaming "Christmas break" to "winter break," banning religious imagery in Nativity, and making celebration of the Nativity or Resurrection in classrooms illegal, we now get Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha in public schools as explicitly Muslim religious holidays.
