Trading is the hardest business in the world.
- Only 5% win
- Long time to overcome the learning curve
- Emotional pain, losses, failures, stress
Trading is not for everyone.
We live in a dopamine-addicted world.
People don’t take the time anymore to learn one thing, stick with it, and master it.
The moment they’re not getting their dopamine fix, they quit and move on to something else that promises fast and easy results.
The algorithm only cares about 2 things:
1. Liquidity
2. Inefficiency
Everything else is just noise.
If you can’t identify those on your chart, you’re guessing.
Remember when you first saw a chart?
You didn’t know what you were looking at, or what to look for.
Think about what you knew back then vs what you know now.
You’ve come a long way.
Don’t give up.
@CRTwithSaint No. Trading becomes psychological once you have a technical framework worth executing. You can't wait for something you don't understand or follow rules you haven't developed. So technical first then psychology.
@tradewithola It works only if you use it as a mechanism that attracts market participation and creates liquidity. On its own, it's just a line on a chart.
@mendatrades Yes, MMs need counterparty liquidity to execute their positions efficiently without causing significant price slippage. So to achieve this, they influence retail behaviour by creating visible patterns like SnR that encourage retail participation.
if you're a new trader, focus on IRL to ERL trades
basically taking continuation setups from an HTF FVG, into an external DOL
reversal setups are much harder to master and you can get caught off side very easily
Trading is a difficult skill to acquire.
It will require years of trials and errors before you finally get good at it.
But once you get it, the skill will allow you to compound your money for the rest of your life like nothing else can.
Don’t give up.
