On a more serious note, when poll after poll shows people are ignorant about basic facts re America, the economy, levels of immigration, etc, maybe we in the media should reflect on our role in exacerbating that ignorance & also then not defer to those polls results as โrealityโ.

Ok so, according to that blog, the image was uploaded by an American conservative website 'The Blaze' on September 24th, 2013.
I found the article but the image has since been removed, which circumvents people finding the true context of the image.
Convenient, I suppose. ๐
One of the many problems with countering lies is it takes two seconds to lie and a lot more effort to share truth.
The truth in this case is that 13 years ago some terrorists stole a USAID tent.
13 years later a trillionaire manipulates that photo to lie.

As it turns out, the image was real.
Except it wasn't USAID funding terrorists or giving them tents, as Elon implied.
No, the photo was taken after terrorists raided Azaz depot on the border between Syria and Turkey.
They stole the tent, alongside a lot of food and weapons.
