Love this letter in today’s Irish Times:
Sir, – Here in rural Ireland, a relationship that survives the weather and the calving and lambing season is by definition infinitely durable. –Yours, etc, TOMAS FINN,
Ballinasloe,
Co Galway.
@EndaMcGearty My Sligo view on Mayo today was they were excellent in 2nd half.Morahan,Fallon+Tom O Flaherty stood out 2 me.The u18s did well but looked lighter.Hopefully McMonagle only precautionary.Hurley was good+Clarke a threat. Be interesting whether 2 seniors will be allowed play champ
St Attractas wishing Summerhill good luck in their winning speech,Summerhill supporting in 1st game. St Attractas players congratulating their u20/u17 colleagues afterwards(saw Aidan Marren personally). This is the mentality that we have to have in Sligo. Our County, Club mentality
A great day for @Sligogaa. J Donlon has won minor,u20 +CollegesA in last 18 months (Conor+Dylan similarly 4 St Attractas). The onus is on us now that we develop the environment that this winning mentality is transitioned to ur senior team+we move thru divisions in next few years.
.... but then again this may be my favourite photo that I took today in Rawalpindi. Eleven England players in this pic of @jimmy9 bowling late in the day to Mohammad Ali.

@EndaMcGearty @RefComeOn Think there is a very interesting discussion on where Mayos eligible u20s ( Keane too) will (or should) play initially in April . Imagine it will be case by case primarily regarding McHugh / Callinan but an interesting topic countrywide.
Thanks for kind comments
600,000+ people read this thread yesterday - which is rather remarkable considering it was full of typos and rather depressing and technical
I’ll get my mojo back soon and kick some ass x

Looking around the vaccination centre in Sligo IT at my fellow 46 year olds and I think I have aged relatively at a normal pace so far !! Very efficiently run centre here by friendly and professional people.
@CathalKennedy1 I can see why in Soccer they go early but think in Gaa , the % of span a goalie can cover vrs the dimensions of the goals wud lead me to think , goalie better staying
@RTEgaa once a fouled player takes more than 4 steps/ commits any technical foul, the referee has no option but to blow the advantage over and come back for original foul. The level of knowledge from 2 experts and 2 professional journalists @ HT was poor . #DUBvKER
