I placed a piece of transparency film into my garden bird bath for two years, to try and record the marks left by the claws of visiting birds. This is the (inverted) result; thousands of tiny marks and scratches, an accumulation of time and lives.

The other day I sat in a Cuckooflower (Cardamine pratensis) meadow while a Cuckoo called in the distance. Isn’t it incredible that we can be confident that this plant will bloom at the same time of year as the Cuckoo calls?! The synchronised timing of nature is *amazing* 👌
