Why Does the World Keep attempting to Rename and Divide God’s Land?

🌍 Today’s headlines: Canada, Australia, and the UK push initiatives to divide Israel. Yet God has spoken:
“I will gather all the nations and enter into judgment with them there, on account of My people, My heritage Israel… because they have divided up My land” (Joel 3:2).
The world has always tried to rename, erase, and divide what belongs to Him.

▶️ What Jesus Said

Acts 1:8: “You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Jesus rooted His words in covenant land. He affirmed the same land promised to Abraham: “To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates” (Genesis 15:18).

▶️ Rome’s Attempt to Erase

In 135 AD, Emperor Hadrian crushed the Bar Kokhba revolt and renamed Judea Syria Palaestina. He renamed Jerusalem Aelia Capitolina.

But God said:
“I have set My King on Zion, My holy hill” (Psalm 2:6).
No emperor could erase the divine decree: “The LORD will not forsake His people; He will not abandon His heritage” (Psalm 94:14).

▶️ Jordan’s Attempt to Rename

In 1950, Jordan called it the “West Bank.” Yet the prophets spoke of this very soil:
“Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD… you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit for My people Israel; for they are soon to come” (Ezekiel 36:1, 8).
“I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine” (Amos 9:14).

▶️ Prophetic Reality

The land is God’s possession, not man’s bargaining chip:
“For the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me” (Leviticus 25:23).
“I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were at first” (Jeremiah 33:7).
What the world calls disputed, God calls promised.

Charles Spurgeon declared:

“I never read of the Holy Land as Palestine, but I like to call it by its proper name. ‘Palestine’ is not the word God chose. He always called that country ‘the land of Canaan,’ or ‘the land of Israel.’”

🔥 The Verdict
Rome renamed it.
Jordan renamed it.
Nations today seek to divide it.
But the Word of God still stands:
“The LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place” (Psalm 132:13).
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

Jesus called it Judea and Samaria. Joel 3:2 warns: Do not divide the land.

Ten nations are now preparing to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations. TEN nations!

> “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.”

Prophetically speaking, if these kings already possess kingdoms and are willing to divide the land, consider this:

> “I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.”
