You cannot know the amount of stress and heartache my family has endured this year. Heartache after heartache, betrayal after betrayal, failure after failure, all the while still hoping and dreaming and willing a better future for our family and our loved ones. I have never worked so hard to see such horrible results over and over. And I’m not speaking of what is the slow grind of building and grow Peaks Dallas.

Hayden and I have always been committed to operate everything we do on single platform of Love. ❤️There are two great powers in this world: love and hate. We choose love.

For a long time I was scared to be vulnerable on social media because I’ve been told it’s unprofessional and TMI. But I decided awhile back that if the world only hears from the haters and complainers and the fake people posting about perfect lives… Who spreads messages of hope, answers for uncertainty, unity in the face of great division… Who spreads love? Why is love so quiet?

But this morning rather than grabbing my Starbucks coffee or doing my hair before my big Day 2, I’m writing you this message, because I am not ashamed and you need to hear this. If I don’t take this opportunity when eyes are on me, when you might listen, then I am wasting my responsibility to spread love and hope…

Yesterday and today I received two vaguely hostile texts from anonymous numbers, calling my husband a Jew and referencing myself being Korean and just as bad as a Jew.

Several days ago a person I considered a friend - an Asian work/poker related friend - sent me a message calling my husband, the father of my half-Korean daughter, an egotistical racist due to a misunderstanding and poker related incident.

During the recent years of our growth and personal success, there have always been haters spreading hateful rumors, misinformation and outright lies about us. And it’s definitely increased this year, as we have encountered much more than the usual share of “bad actors”…

And yet, my amazing husband and I have decided to focus on love. Hayden is the best man I have ever known. There is no one that is more kind, more loving and genuinely warm and caring.

Ask us anything, we really are an open book. We believe in honesty and generosity and just being good people. We’ve made mistakes and this year a lot of them! But we will tell you whatever you want to know. We care about our community and we care deeply about the people we surround ourselves with daily.

And now I ask you for 4 things:

1) Retweet. I don’t care if you fallow. It’s not about that. Let’s make love louder.

2) Choose acts of love, unity, kindness and generosity - instead of words of hate, division, complaining, despair and anger.

3) COME PLAY AT @PeaksDallas . Come support my family. And I’m not referring to me and Hayden - I’m talking about Jim Coyle, Dori Coyle, Eric Anderson, Amber Ginger, Eddie Bat, Michael Coltrane, Gaby Tirado, Timmy Vo, Vincent Ch, Fanny Ramos, Alana Watson… I’m sure I’m forgetting people… It’s a family at Peaks. It really is. We are building a healthy, positive environment - with the goal to grow a sustainable, fun environment for Poker to last forever. But you must show up. I promise you, you will love what we have to offer - but it won’t make it over the hump of 2.5 years of failure without the support of the poker community.

4) Root for me to win. Send me all the positive vibes you always do. My family needs this, even if the money didn’t matter as much as it obv does… We need a win at life. I would love to close out 2024 strong, and give yall the whole long “rise from the ashes” story. Send me all the #lovesandluck. ❤️&🍀
