Honestly, one of the best things you can teach your kids is not to care so much about what other people think

Because that stuff follows you

If they grow up constantly worrying about everyone’s opinion, they don’t just grow out of it. They carry it into adulthood. Then suddenly they’re older, overthinking everything, people-pleasing, second guessing themselves, and having to do all this inner child work just to undo what should’ve been taught early

Teach them self-respect young

Teach them they can listen to people without letting every opinion live in their head rent free

And I bet you, if you teach them the skill of not giving a fuck about other people’s opinions, they’ll be the first ones to remind you when you start giving a fuck.

That’s a beautiful thing.
