@ballymenarfc Rest well Syd, you deserve it after the work and effort you put into our wonderful game, both as a player and administrator.
There will now be a large void in the game of rugby union. Condolences to the family circle and to a club where you were always made welcome.
Like Lady Mary P I was delighted to receive my vaccine. As a new transplant recipient I am in the CEV group. Thanks to the all the brilliant staff who are organising and administering this programme
👏👏👏 @MaryPetersTrust

Sorry to hear the death of Ray Hunter, 82, the last dual international to play rugby & cricket for Ireland. Ray originally played rugby for CIYMS. He won 10 caps & was on the 1962 Lions tour to SA. In his latter playing days he guided junior club Portadown into senior ranks. #RIP
It was not totally unexpected, but Dwayne Peel will be missed by the whole of the @UlsterRugby squad. A very talented player who took to coaching with consummate ease. He was a gentleman, who was easy to talk to & who went about his business in a quiet way.
Lucky @cardiff_blues
Assistant Coach, Dwayne Peel, will return to his native Wales this summer to take up a Senior Assistant Coach role at @cardiff_blues.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank-you to Dwayne, and good luck from everyone at Ulster Rugby 💪

Lovely tribute @MaloneRFC to late chairman Patrick 'Chippy' Baird who passed away earlier this week. Chippy was the mover and shaker at Gibson Park steering the club into what is a difficult time for rugby at grassroots level.
He will be sadly missed.
Ulster Rugby is saddened to learn of the passing of @MaloneRFC Chairman, Patrick ‘Chippy’ Baird.
Chippy had been part of the Malone rugby family for much of his life, playing through the club’s ranks to become the club’s President and Chairman in recent years.
How ironic that George Best and Diego Maradona, two of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen, should both pass away on the same date, 15 years apart 💔

@letapedutour is one of the toughest challenges for an ordinary Joe cyclist. The training is brutal (it starts NOW!) but it's so thrilling & such a personal achievement to cross that finishing line, it's worth the pain #giveitago

@CregaghCC Sorry to hear of the passing of Billy Smith. Great clubman. Superb, stylish left-arm swing bowler. Dynamite with new ball. As wicketkeeper, I would stand half-way back to the old sub-station, and the ball would still thump into your gloves.
Condolences to the family circle #rip
1. @MaloneRFC lost an icon today with the passing of David 'DD' Crothers.
A great character, full of mirth, intelligence, & a player of grit & determination.
A lumbering back-row forward, who often masqueraded as a prop, DD would never have been mistaken for an athlete ...
