@inthebullpenflf We made it! We didn't meet you, but made great memories with our rain jackets and kids (their wet baseball gloves in hand). Never a wasted moment in Cooperstown.
BTW, reach out if you need a place to worship on a Lord's day during your next HOF visit (1 hr away).
This one's for you, Amsterdam. We're praying for you and hoping big in Jesus for you, here at Covenant Presbyterian (by McDonald's).

The Brewers broadcast team lost their read out sheet due to wind and got stuck in the netting. After talking about it, the cameraman zoomed in on the sheet and they were able to read from it. How can you not be romantic about anything related to baseball.
Best thing you’ll see today
My wife and I spent three years flipping a "post civil war mansion" (per the zillow listing). We just moved in last week.
Take a risk. Put your mind and sweat into something for a few years. It's amazing what can happen.
In Titus 1:9–16, Paul describes deceivers in the church with *nineteen* different adjectives or phrases.
Pray the elders in churches today understand the urgency to "silence" and "rebuke" false teachers.
🚨 JUST IN: JD Vance says he's raising his children Christian, and he hopes his agnostic wife, Usha, comes around to the Christian faith
Vance's 8-year-old did his first Communion "about a year ago," and his two oldest kids go to a Christian school
"Most Sundays, Usha comes with me to church."
"Do I hope eventually she is moved by the same thing I was moved by? Yes. I honestly do wish that. I believe in the Christian gospel, and I hope eventually, my wife comes to see it the same way." 🙏
He is left with nothing but an abstract, deistic conception of God or, as compensation, in a pantheistic way, he incorporates the life of the world into the Divine essence. (3/3)
Some Bavinck, for your Lord's Day:
He is not an abstract, rigid Unity, not monadic, solitary. He is a fullness of Life; His nature is generative, fruitful; it is capable of expansion, unfolding, communication. (1/3)
Nate on why they *actually want* to buy CT.
They're trying to serve "big tent" Christianity and get conversations going without the tribalism that's developed over the years. I applaud. It's a win for general, conservative, Nicaean Christianity, which we need more of.
