As more schools and states consider going phone-free, I'm reposting this: clear evidence that phone-free schools improve learning. Just taking phones during CLASS gives less benefit in class, while still damaging social life between classes and at lunch.
@dylanwiliam Thanks for sharing @dylanwiliam. Great to have something that highlights the importance of knowledge. Not for the sake of it, after all, who needs knowledge with ChatGpt, but because it is the key that unlocks those increasingly important higher level skills.

#Budget24 will improve school buildings but NI will hit all tertiary educators.
With extra costs, the sector must solve its own problems. Part of the solution-more efficient and effective teaching methods e.g. #evidence based, #onlinetutoring and #AI.

We can’t rely on the younger generation to help teach us about #AI

Contrary to popular belief our attention spans haven't shrunk below that of a goldfish.

There is an excellent concussion to this research. They quote the American writer William Feather.
“An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you know and what you do not”
Just about to start my last #lecture for @KaplanUK. After 30 years I should be ok, confident yes, but who knows how it will go.
Can I explain the content well enough, can I maintain levels of #attention, can I #motivate and will they remember it tomorrow?
Wish me luck....
