Today @brexHQ is officially part of @CapitalOne !
When we started Brex, we always believed that how a company spends money defines what it becomes. Finance isn't back office, but the core of how every business decision gets made. With AI reshaping how companies run, there's never been a better time to rebuild business finance from the ground up.
Brex now serves tens of thousands of businesses, from 1 in 3 startups in the US to the largest companies on the planet, including all major AI labs. But we're still less than 2% of the way to bringing intelligent finance to the majority of US businesses, and we couldn't think of a better partner than Capital One to close that gap. Together, we'll build something truly unique: an n-of-1 combination of a fintech and a bank, unmatched in technology, scale, distribution, and brand.
This is a special day. The ceiling just got lifted. I'm so grateful to our team, customers, investors, and everyone who bet on us over the past 8 years. The opportunity ahead is bigger and more ambitious than we've ever dreamed. Onwards!
We started @column with the insane idea to rebuild every component of the financial system from scratch. Today, I think we've finally completed that build.
We're releasing four new products, so any technology company can build at the frontier of financial services.
Today, we're launching Monaco into General Availability.
We onboarded several hundred hypergrowth startups during our beta. The results are staggering:
The average customer added 16 percentage points to their month-over-month revenue growth rate.
The average customer tripled their monthly meeting volume.
With today's release, Monaco is now the most advanced AI sales platform in the world.
Monaco customers have an unfair competitive advantage.
And people think building model routers is the hard part of "token spend management". :)
If you're serious about AI costs, priorities 1 through 10 is having good evals.
Not enough!
It is insane how many enterprises I meet that are spending $100M / year on inference and don't have offline evals to determine which model to use.
Hey Daniel, this one's on us.
Photon's transactions were getting matched to an existing vendor with a similar name instead of being recognized as its own merchant. We've fixed the mapping, and we're relabeling the transactions that already went through wrong.
Sorry for the mess this made in your customers' expenses, and thanks for flagging it.
Here if you have any questions.
Our summer fastest-growing vendors list just dropped, and the story is: infrastructure won. Turns out the real AI hype isn't the app, it's what's under it.
And more is coming. If you're a finance leader living in AI and automation, join us at Brex Mode in Chicago and Austin in a few weeks, with speakers from @OpenAI, @circle, @DoorDash, @theziphq, and @WeAreLegora.

We had some fun too. Cardholders can now redeem points to send a branded blimp over the San Francisco skyline, and we launched a massive campaign giving Brex Mastercard cardholders the opportunity to own an El Amague jersey inspired by the journey and style of @Mastercard ambassador Leo Messi. No other corporate card is doing this.
Brex is embedding more deeply into our customers' workflows. We launched Brex for @tekioncorp Spend, the first corporate card and spend management built right into a dealer management system. Auto dealers represent tens of thousands of businesses who are very operational complex and still cut 100,000+ checks a year to pay invoices by hand. Now the card lives inside the software they run every day.
AI is now the fastest-growing line item at every company, and it's invisible to traditional spend management. We built tooling to manage our own AI spend, normalizing it across every vendor, model, customer, and workflow. We're now starting to bring this to customers.

AI spend is now one of the fastest-growing line items at every company, but here's the problem: it's invisible to traditional spend management.
We experienced this firsthand at Brex, so we built Magpie: an internal tool that sources and normalizes AI spend across every vendor so we can break it down by model, customer, employee, and workflow.
What Magpie has already unlocked:
β ~85% cost reduction on an audit agent through prompt caching
β Real customer cost-to-serve numbers that inform pricing and margin
β Model routing governance we couldn't enforce before
β A surprise: operational AI is much cheaper than we assumed
So why is AI spend so hard to track? Because each one exposes usage data differently (some not at all). At Brex, tool-use costs weren't tracked alongside tokens, customer attribution was inconsistent, and a meaningful chunk of our daily AI spend was unattributable. Now with Magpie, we have reliable visibility.
AI spend is more complex than anything finance teams have had to manage before, and it's exactly the kind of problem @brexHQ is built to solve, shaping how we think about the future of our platform.

We're shipping faster than ever. In this quarter alone, we gave customers the ability to query Brex data anywhere they work, now including Slack, auto-generate virtual cards for approved invoices, have deeper customization for ERP and accounting workflows, and a new policy rule builder that enforces spend rules the moment money moves.

New customers are ramping quicker and seeing value immediately. The ones who picked Brex this year have already run over 7 million card transactions across nearly 400,000 merchants and saved 750,000 hours of manual work. That drove another record in payment volume.
This quarter, 10+ public companies joined Brex. Now, nearly 350 run their global spend on one platform, with agents doing the manual work that used to take their finance team hours to do.
Q2 has wrapped at @brexHQ and itβs one for the books. More companies on Brex, shipped more than 35 features to customers, and we started dogfooding our most ambitious AI work yet. π§΅
I grew up in Brazil writing code while everyone else played soccer. But I do know what Messi means to the world.
The best athletes and the best companies share something: they don't wait to react. They move first and they operate with intensity and precision when it matters most. Finance, done right, works the same way, with visibility across every dollar, controls that don't slow you down, the ability to move faster on opportunities before they close.
That's what we're building at @brexHQ, and that's why this campaign with @Mastercard and Mastercard ambassador Leo Messi makes sense to me beyond just reach and impressions.
Elite execution wins, in both sport and in business.
The shared passion of soccer brought Sean to the GOAT, @Mastercard ambassador, Leo Messi.
Brex Mastercard cardholders have the opportunity to own El Amague Jersey for themselves.

Today we're announcing Brex for Tekion Spend, the first fully embedded corporate card and spend management solution for automotive dealer groups, built directly into Tekion.
This is exactly what Brex Embedded exists to do: put the right financial infrastructure inside the leading AI platforms that matter. The 98% of businesses still running on legacy card programs include some of the most complex operations in the US economy, and automotive retail is a perfect example.
Auto dealers run some of the most operationally complex businesses in the country with multiple rooftops, entities, services, parts, F&I, and ops all generating spend daily yet most are still cutting 100,000+ checks a year at $5 each to pay $50 invoices.
We built @brexHQ for Tekion Spend to fix this. Now Brex integrates directly into the market leading dealer management system in @tekioncorp, so cards are issued inside the workflows dealers already use, every transaction auto-matches to its originating Tekion record in real time, and policies are enforced at the rooftop, department, or individual level.
Grateful to the Tekion team for building this together with us. More below.
