Dr. Nealen Laxpati has a special interest in helping epilepsy patients through neuromodulation. Six patients underwent deep brain stimulation (DBS) in 2025, the most ever in Children's Healthcare of Atlanta history. Below shows DBS leads placed intracranially for seizure control.

Please welcome our Fellow, Dr. Chesney Oravec to Neurosurgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Over the next 12 months she will be exposed to a large volume of operative cases to gain experience that allows for the evaluation of different approaches to patient management.

Dr. Reisner spent some time in Peru last week presenting with multiple organizations including Congreso Peruano Neurocirugía, FLANC and ICRAN! After some hard work, he was able to visit Machu Picchu! 🎉🧠
