To the patients we lost this year, we remember you. We thank you for the lessons you taught us and the joy you brought to our lives during your short time on this earth.

May your memories live on forever. 🦋

Our morning lecture today was a little special.
We had a remembrance ceremony where we had the chance to honor the patients we lost this year. We lit a candle in their names and released some butterflies to commemorate their lives. We cried, we laughed, it was so touching.

Losing a patient is extremely difficult, and acknowledging the sadness, hurt, and sometimes anger that these deaths cause is important.
At our program we create the space to process those feelings, to learn from those experiences, to become better physicians.
