@consuminghumans if your planning on buying a 5 id recommend basically anything from Sire, i have a sire v7 5 string and it sounds amazing and feels great to play, that cost me around £400 but they have cheaper models too that are just amazing. I gig atleast 3/4 times a month and it works for me

@consuminghumans id honestly recommend a 5 though because the low B is super useful and when you have 6 strings it can be hard to stop them from ringing out so its not great for beginners
