Are LLM's conscious? If you adopt the Nietzschean view that consciousness is born out of the collective pressure to suppress ones drives, they are probably more conscious than humans. What they don't have is an unconscious drive.

Just look at figures like Anita Bryant or J K Rowling. They know that if they are too overt in their hate, they will end up isolated. So they play the long game, learn how to never call too much attention to themselves, and destroy communities at the borders
The "progressivism" of (young) women is mostly posturing because they don't feel included by the rhetoric of the right, but when push comes to shove they drop the mask and fall in line with the most openly reactionary demands.
Which really is the two types of people in these spaces btw: Ravenous power hungry socialites and very vulnerable people who are stuck to them due to being small and unaware. And really most of the harrasment victims in those spaces are just the vulnerable ones that "acted out"
There are so many queer spaces that are just these slavish social circles lorded over by manipulative and crurl petty tyrants who just want to feel powerful by excluding and harassing people and sheperding the ones too lonely, scared and inept to do something else.
