Last Friday, we were thrilled to kick off the #NonprofitCoLab🚀
Nonprofits & @WPP volunteers joined for the first time to meet & begin crafting their PSA campaigns. Special thanks to @cpalmedo from @CUNYSPH for presenting on #causemarketing! Stay tuned for more
Had an amazing experience presenting w/ @PeerDefense youth at @classcrits conference on our research re dignity and the law, how classroom censorship & anti-LGBTQ actions constitute dignity takings, and how intergenerational movement lawyering can facilitate dignity restoration.
We supported @IntegrateNYC to sue the city & the state for our rights! Student & community organizers joined together to launch INYC @CEJNYC @ParentsforChange V NY State et al to address the racism and segregation of NYC public schools in February of 2021 https://t.co/RBTKhLSldH
The New York Supreme Court dismissed our case! According to the court, our racial inequities in enrollment, resources, curriculum, and teaching do not violate any rights!!! They say it is not justiciable—a legal word meaning "its not the court's job."

@Cacf called the city out for how it uses the model minority myth about AAPI students to go back and forth on racial justice initiatives as they please among other things (8, CACF Amicus).
Lawsuits can be complicated. The Defendants nor the Plaintiffs have to hold everything. Amicus Briefs are submitted to create a variety of voices & concerns before the court. Know-Your-Case in its many components! Check out our brief on amicus briefs! https://t.co/CccxHb7haW
Our friends @CACF joined in support! Filing an "Amicus Brief," they aligned with our demands and elevated the unique interests of AAPI students in NYC.
