The reason the human race is going extinct is because those that claim to want to "protect" nature agree with those who destroy it, that "nature" is a thing to be controlled, restored - a plaything of the human. As such these "environmentalists" can conveniently pretend that they only need to make a few expressions of being upset - because ... well, nature is just a thing.

If they stopped pretending and were honest enough to say that actually nature is everything - and as such "everything" is being destroyed, then they would have to do more than just get upset - which is such an upsetting thought for them that they just avoid it.

Governments are not killing the world, rather it is the cowardice of those who go through the motions of opposing them.
