CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD was…kinda awesome?

Flawed fun, to be sure — part WINTER SOLDIER lite, part quasi-sequel to INCREDIBLE HULK.

It (mostly) looks great and, despite a script in need of polishing, felt like classic Marvel fun.

Game changer? No.

A blast? Sure.

Definitely lower than I expected, though I wasn't expecting it to be a super high score based on how everyone was talking about it.

The movie has its flaws, for sure, but I enjoyed it. I think it's just a good movie that Marvel fans like myself will enjoy.

Remember how all of us were losing our collective shit on how goddamn good Cap: Winter Soldier was? Yeah, #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld  keeps that same energy. This movie is so good that I want to see more adventures of Sam Wilson putting hands on folks.

I liked Captain America: Brave New World a lot. I walked I fully expecting it to be mid. I loved the political intrigue, Ford's performace, and the action.

There is some clunky exposition that was probably crammed in during reshoots, but that's a minor complaint.

@BrandonDavisBD Audiences seem so polarised now, either a movie can be groundbreakingly amazing or terrible. Movies can't just be solid anymore.

I admit the #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld scores are much lower than even I was anticipating, despite all the online hoopla.

Just because I gave #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld a rave review means I saw an entertaining CBM that worked for me and all I was hoping for.

No one needs to defend how they feel.

Art is subjective.

It feels like an MCU return to form, progressing the overall story with a thrilling tale of its own. It’s pretty nonstop!

The villain feels a bit secondary. Solid action.

Harrison Ford is ALL IN. Mackie really claims the mantle.

I enjoyed #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld a lot. Anthony Mackie is a great Cap. Really enjoyed the action sequences which takes the character to new heights, literally. Did like the Leader, but felt he wasn’t really used enough. Red Hulk kicked ass too!
