Average apartment rent in the U.S. in 2023 is $1702 per month.
$1702×12=$20424 per year
Just rent alone costs more than the official U.S. federal #poverty line.
Anybody that tells you the #economy is fine is lying.
Wichita man sentenced to probation for child sex crime
https://t.co/7trpiBlZFY. No justice! The district attorney agreeing to such a plea deal is sickening!
In 2020, Patrick Braxton became the 1st Black mayor of an Alabama town. Then the ex-mayor & councilmembers reappointed themselves w/o anyone knowing
He's been locked out of town hall, denied town accounts & nearly run off the road: “You’re not the mayor”

We don't have an energy shortage
We don't have an insulin shortage
We don't have a housing shortage
We don't have a teacher shortage
We don't have a labor shortage
We don't have a food shortage
We have a billionaire excess who buy politicians to deny us our basic human rights.
One moment that stood out from tonight’s Wichita mayoral forum was Lily Wu’s response to a question about homelessness:
“Our community members who are experiencing homelessness require us to show compassion, but it also requires us to hold them accountable for their actions.”
A woman is Kentucky was forced to travel to Maryland, spend $7,500, and drop out of nursing school shortly before she was due to graduate.
Why?
Doctors in Kentucky wouldn’t perform an abortion despite the fact that her fetus had developed without a skull.
It’s not the doctor’s fault, though.
Doctors face extreme risk and penalties for performing necessary care. The laws are written intentionally vague to have a chilling effect.
As a nation, we cannot turn a blind eye to the dehumanization of human beings. We cannot.
This is truly a monstrous order from Governor Abbott: “A four-year-old girl passed out from heat exhaustion after she tried to go through it and was pushed back by Texas National Guard soldiers.”
Pushing children into water, really? Allowing children to drown is not only cruel but it contradicts the values of this state and this nation.
We must not allow this weak Governor’s deranged desire to grandstand at the border be used to justify this level of cruelty to fellow human beings — especially not the innocence of children. Urging the federal government to step in to end these tactics.
Breaking: According to the Houston Chronicle, officers who were working for Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s border security were ordered to push small children and babies back into the Rio Grande.
Additionally, they have allegedly been ordered not to give water to those people seeking asylum.
This comes as we see record heat in Texas.
There has to be a line that is drawn between "keeping our border safe," and harming innocent women and children who are merely seeking asylum.
We are all humans, and to treat people who claim to be fleeing from danger like they are something less than human can't be the answer we strive for. Can it?
We hear a lot of complaints but very few solutions.
Ultimately how is a better way to secure our borders without harming women and children?
So Trump has come right out and said the bad part out loud🗣️🗣️🗣️
He intends to SEIZE full power of all Departments and Agencies and wrest control from States and make himself a SINGLE LEADER🧐🧐🧐🧐
Let me remind you He is saying he and he ALONE will control the ENTIRE Government, Including Law Enforcement even on the State level😳😳😳😳
No checks and balances. 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

Teachers can only deduct $250 in school supplies on their taxes, but billionaire Harlon Crow can write off his super yacht.😐
Why? Because millionaire politicians funded by billionaires & corps write tax law for billionaires. We need a Congress for working people—not the .1%
INVESTIGATION: Clarence Thomas switched his vote on a major legal doctrine after he received billionaire gifts and his wife received cash. https://t.co/HEtguVmu0I
