I find it frustrating as a supporter that players feel the need to use the referee as an excuse for their mistakes or try to squeeze every inch out of a game than just playing it

I’ve played at most levels of football & been out the game a number of yrs but watching the level my son plays at (1step from semi pro) the game isn’t an enjoyable one. It seems more about taking every opportunity to get into the refs head & pts scoring than just a game of ⚽️
