It's all in good fun. Nimbus adores Grace and makes all the pretty foggy days he could ever want. But they do insist on rotating some sun and rain in there too for their human friend to enjoy.

They're working on making a sturdy camera with Rocky so Grace can see Erid weather!

Somehow Nimbus manages to be both a leader in their field and a cautionary tale for making dumbass choices to get close to atmospheric events.
Grace has to veto lots of proposals to replicate earths extreme weather conditions in his dome.
