@globalnews Oddly enough, you're not supposed to ingest or wear balloons over your head. They've been printing that warning on plastic bags for decades.. all a balloon really is is the bag without air in it... :/
@JohnnySumatra@TheRealKeean Use less damn fertilizer. Not a hard concept. China is destroying their land and rivers by dumping more and more of it on. Farmers need to smarten the hell up, because this is a dirty 30s situation all over again and it's accelerating
@GlobalCalgary Hmm.. so I personally know 2 people that are healthy, physically fit with a good lifestyle that have had heart attack before they turned 50. Don't generalize, or it just smacks of the "everyone in Alberta is a Backcountry hick" mindset
@MattWallace888 So what? Just where do you plan to find a judge who hasn't actively supported Trump or Biden, either by donating for them or voting for them? By all means, replace the judge, with a _neutral_ party. And since those don't exist in the American system, just what will you do?
@TheRealKeean Doesn't work. It's not a provincial jurisdiction, but it is a federal. So they can be charged with a federal level offence for failing to comply, and the provincial government can't shield them from it. How well do you expect that to work?
@CTVNews No. I paid my student loans. It teaches financial responsibility. Make them interest free and extend the amortization period, but total forgiveness? What's to stop someone from being an eternal student on the taxpayer dime? I respect all students, but I am not paying their way
@justicepartyhq@CBCNews You can track surges in covid cases and hospitalizations in _direct_ correlation to every single removal of mask mandates in every single district. *shrug*. Remove a mask mandate, cases surge about 10 days later. Not complicated to see
@sinknPUTTS81@Stratscat@globalnews Want to have a fun time? Go get your unvaccinated kids a CT scan of their lungs. You're in for a hell of a surprise, and it's not going to be a good scene
@imminentcullaps @CBCNews Nah, recession is likely though. Let's say you have a 600k floating mortgage. That increase is going to hurt. A lot. Which means people spend less using fake money (e.g. credit) and inflation stabilizes
@Schwartzie4Ever @mimicoprobs @CBCNews Banks at a percentage on top of the base rate. Always have. When prime was 0.25 it was about 1.91 percent. Credit cards have _always_ been 20-25 percent. Haven't been paying attention much?
@1marzipan @CBCNews Why? Smoking will kill you. Period. A glass of wine a day will not. Its not about being a vice, it's the absurd cost to the health system that smokers create. A dozen forms of cancer, emphysema, COPD, massively increased risk if stroke, heart disease. The list is endless
@MaisonDehors @CBCNews@GovCanHealth Because smoking _will_ kill you. Period. No gray area. Every single puff causes damage. Wine? A single glass a day is actually a decent antioxidant and has proven, heavily documented health benefits. You do the math
