Second graders at JTSD began the year learning about things in nature they see all the time. Things like worms πͺ±. They wondered, and asked questions like, do worms prefer wet or dry conditionsπ§ π΅? Through this lesson students learn to think deeper and more critically.
Second graders at JTSD had a fun summer project, learning all about the role bees play in our world π€ as pollinators . They explored the different kinds, learned why they sting you, and studied how they effect our π food production π. Great job students!
@jtsdnixa fifth graders partnered with James River Basin Partnership and the @CityofNixa to help design the new street sweeper. It was great to see their hard work come to life! #STEAMazing

CSIP, Nixa PSs' strategic committee, has been working hard to develop the strategic plan for the next 5 years.
The 2020-2025 strategic plan is focused on 7 areas: time, transitions, partnerships, activities, well-being, district growth, and career paths.
We are 120 days smarter here @jtsdnixa! Students were encouraged to write a descriptive paragraph about 120 things from home for others to guess their items. They all did an amazing job, and it was so much fun! #adjectives#secondgrade@nixaschools
Donβt get frustrated because you donβt experience instant success. Instant success is often the worst kind of success because it gives us a false sense of reality. Success takes hard work, discipline, sacrifice, perseverance and patience. #Ap2w
