It doesn’t take much to help stop the spread of viruses like flu and COVID.
Wearing a mask to medical appointments can protect the people most at risk.
We can all play our part.
GPs must provide more appts - The Headline
50 people attempt to book one of 30 appts for a GP
If a GP works 8-8, 9-5, 7-5 the capacity is still 30
The problem is there are not enough GPs
Facts
1896 fewer than 2015
8000 short of what is needed
1.4m appts a day

GPs - Facts or fiction 🧵
They are not seeing patients F2F
Why are waiting rooms are empty
They are not working
AEs are full because GPs aren’t seeing patients
They shut their doors during the pandemic
They are all part-time
They are paid too much
They no longer care

We would urge all visitors to Llanharan surgery to take great care today. Our Drs & reception have put down grit by main doors but the car park is sheet ice. Consider parking on main road. Please walk on gritted area & take care.
We've update our blog about Scarlet Fever and Streptococcal infection to include an excellent video by @Damian_Roland who is an Honorary Professor of Paediatric Emergency Medicine. Our Drs think that this video is so good that it is worth sharing
