We're open today, Thursday 4th June! Once a month, we open on a week day to give visitors a chance to come and see our incredible models at an 'off-peak' time when the museum is quieter. We're also open every weekend from 11am with last entry at 3.15pm.
This week is #VolunteersWeek where we recognise, celebrate and thank volunteers throughout the UK. The @UN have also declared 2026 the International Volunteer Year - recognising volunteerism as a key driver of sustainable development. Thank you Pendon Museum Volunteers! ๐

We're open this Bank Holiday Weekend Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 11am until 4pm! Come and see what rural life was like in the 1920s/1930s in exquisite miniature form with trains running on the Vale, Dartmoor and Sea Wall scenes.
Spotlight on the brilliant Smaller Things who will be at our Doll's House Exhibition 29th & 30th August. They create highly detailed 1:48 and 1:144 scale miniature scenes and illusion-based room boxes combining traditional dolls house miniatures with atmospheric storytelling.
Monday 18th May: Preschool drop-in crafts and activities for ages 3 - 5 from 10am until 12pm, ยฃ5 per child (siblings under 3 come free). No need to book a space, simply turn up and pay on entry. We'll be running these sessions monthly during term time: https://t.co/W4WXHZi3ti

Last weekend we were at the Miniatura doll's house show up near Coventry and who was the first visitor to our stand? Someone from our neighbouring town of Didcot!

This February Half Term we're open on both weekends as usual, but also on Wednesday 18th! We'll have our usual half-hour Junior Model Making sessions running from 11am with the last session starting at 3.30pm for children aged 6-14. More details on our website.
We recently came across this lovely little relic of the 1930's - our founder Roye England's Wimbledon and District Model Railway Club membership book. The club was founded in 1924 and is the second oldest model railway club in the world.

"Ditchling Green" comes to Pendon Museum! On 18th & 19th April we will be presenting a special showing of the celebrated, 0-gauge layout, โDitchling Greenโ. Come and see this iconic model in operation at no extra cost, doors open 11am with last entry 3.15pm.
