@theallergygirl@tinybird420 Like no shit caring about yourself leads to a better appearance, what does that have to do with you trying to prove the HRT claim wrong? If anything that sounds like a strawman and a jab at those who agree with the claim
@theallergygirl@tinybird420 I didn't say to become "hot", but people ideally want to be appealing (everyone wants to).
Also this is major backpedalling.. Saying it's not a cure all, won't do everything for anyone, and the main factor is caring, then "HRT won't do that much" is correct based on totality.
@Sally0014353840@johnpiano@JanetIsabella_ It's not a requirement to be an entire replacement. That's the initial riddle but you're not restricted to look at entire change you can also look at it as a threshold of change
If you had 99% of you replaced by a robot is it still you? And then that differs on -
@bxnbby I don't know. Maybe it's just one of those things where I'd have to literally be you to identify these changes.
Reversing hair loss is actually a huge one so I can definitely give props on that.
@bxnbby But I want to preface - I'm just autistic. This is not about saying "ha you still look male", a claim was made and I support it.
I think you look cute, even sexy in some of your pictures if I may say so.
@bxnbby Thank you.
So this is probably the best side by side we can get (it still factors in shadows and makeup - makeup I don't think impacts it that much here). Honestly I don't see much difference that would make the claim "HRT doesn't change much" false.
@Fath3rOfNero It auto-renews, that is what they cancelled.
It may not seem impactful but a decrease in auto-renewed subscriptions I'd presume would show a downward trajectory in future profits.
@BungeeGum_4 For the most part I agree with their premise, I don't think it's transphobia, but the way its written sabotages it - especially when it's accusatory and vague on who's actually at fault for their concerns
@BungeeGum_4 Ok.. so I found the thread.
It's really complicated to comment on. They have a legitimate case, but they were a bit emotional in presenting it and it comes across bad and is ultimately self-defeating as rhetoric.
@theallergygirl@tinybird420 You're actually baiting people by setting up an expectation that you were only able to achieve because you were in your set of circumstances.
It'll hurt those that it doesn't help harder when their hope is crushed.
@BungeeGum_4 - especially because to outsiders / idiots they will not understand the nuance, I'm pretty sure they don't even know it's an umbrella term.
However from my perspective from what I was shown, to me it seems you read an inference which wasn't intended. Just gonna leave this here
@BungeeGum_4 I don't think I have much to say, I feel I answered your points and we are about to go around in circles. I want to say I do get the difference between trans people with dysphoria and those without* it, and I agree there is a problem when the two are mixed together -
@BungeeGum_4 I misread.
They never claimed to be healthier, they were just being an example of how it was possible to not link the two (unless there's more info not shown)
Linking dysphoria as necessary for being transgender is unhealthy
Inherently the reverse would be healthier
