@samziz@ScottAppliedSci The psych staff from my unit were ordered to keep her restrained on bed. She was overweight due to meds and combined with everything else developed blood clot which caused the heart attack.
@samziz@ScottAppliedSci She was conscious and being physically held down by the staff about 4-6 from St Andrews while tests were being run. The physical hospital nurses probably left them to it and just did the tests due to stigma of Justine.
@samziz@ScottAppliedSci Wow Thank you!! Plus a bank nurse who often worked our ward told me in confidence and near tears that she had been held down whenever she moved! & that’s why the blood clot happened! The staff present had be told to do that!
But someone who has a criminal warrant: you know will get access to lawyer, to advocate, to dr at police station and if you are heavy handed their lawyer will get them compensation or case thrown out! You go into Welfare checks heavy knowing they have no advocacy #metpolice
Why do those ( mainly trauma victims, female self harmers) receive agression from services? They send police, all pumped up anticipating us to be violent? No don’t judge us by your standards… you hurt us because YOU have violence in YOU! We internalised chose not to lash out!
Stop hurting and abusing self harmers, autistic folk, people during a welfare check… because in your mind a welfare check.. it’s hardly ever legal but will all get swept under carpet if person is detained to hospital and sectioned #metpolice
But all those involved were able to to respond and acknowledge without escalating I appreciate them … because it can’t of been easy for them . there is always a risk for those responding. those paramedics were brave. They treated me like a human Thank you #londonambulance#nhs
@NHSEnglandLDN@paramedicsuk
@londonparamedics #mentalhealtlhsupport I want to Thank 111 uk and London paramedics for their compassionate response last night. 111 allowed me to vent whilst getting the information they needed without getting frustrated at me 1/2
They could have escalated things for me, they could have easily gone against my preferences. I would have suffered immensely but they took a positive risk, no I wasn’t violent, I did not need restraint, I did not need police…I was in crisis, I was presenting erratically …6/7
