To say I haven't written a poem in a longtime is to say, my healing has been behind schedule 💐💐💐

The moon is outside my window, acting shy/ All the stars pan out to shield it eyes/But its soul is a well struggling fir water/ A man cries on his knees - weak/ His life is threatening to leave, to follow the gun/ Bullets are peeping from the barrel of a gun/ & there's no peace.

I'm realising that infidelity has more to do with how you see yourself more than the person you're with. Like, do you want to be known as an unfaithful person? Is that the narrative you want to promote about yourself????

Infidelity is such an interesting concept, you’re cheating on someone you chose to be with…like no one forced you to be with this person…it was a conscious decision you made to be with this person and now you’re cheating on them.

I am glad to announce that I received the DC Stanfa Memorial Writers’ Award to attend the Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop at the University of Dayton, Ohio (the workshop turned 25 this year). The award covered my flight, feeding, and accommodation. I thank my God.
